Remember the Milk: MilkSync for Blackberry, this can be a great start.

December 23rd, 2007 by Jorge Ledesma

To the RTM triad, this is perhaps the best time to jump on the Blackberry boom as its already begun, right now there is no application on the market that has the integration your application has, Google Gear, Gmail, Google Calendar, emailing task, IM Reminders, all the aforementioned technologies are very well represented on the Blackberry platform, now all we need is either a Milk Sync for Blackberry or better yet a full blown RTM blackberry application to really blow the lid of the competition, of course this would be a PRO feature but the community support would be there guaranteed. What say you.

Remember the Milk and Blackberry Tasks application a combination made in heaven

December 20th, 2007 by Jorge Ledesma

Wouldn’t this be a great combination, after all the iphone got an RTM version, its only natural for the blackberry platform to get a Remember the Milk application ala Facebook, it would be cool if it synchronized with the native blackberry tasks behinds the scenes…. wow, if you like this idea head over to the Remember the Milk Forum (http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/ideas/3165/)and post your comments so that Bob from RTM grants us this wish, we’re even willing to pay for the application . . . .

Has this scenario happened to you (read this then) your solution TaskInjector from Convenience Software is here for you.

December 19th, 2007 by Jorge Ledesma

“Honey before you come home bring apple juice, milk but 2% not the regular, kraft cheese, whole wheat bread, and don’t forget the coke and the sprite,” oh my god, why didn’t you tell me before honey, I’m driving down the expressway, I’ll see if I remember then your wife says, “Oh, hold on, lets use the application you got the other day, the one we saw at www.conveniencesoftware.com TaskInjector, how does it work again honey ? Check it out honey, I’m going to send an email to your blackberry and in the subject line its going to say “newtasktodo” once you read the email my shopping list will be aggregated to your Task pretty nice ah, so you can see it easily I’ll make it a high priority, cool ah honey.

Well if the above scenario is familiar to you then you need TaskInjector in your life, its super simple for people to inject tasks into your native RIM Task manager. Simply send an email with the subject as “newtasktodo” and then in the body type your task and that’s it, now if you want to associate that task with a priority its super simple, in the body simply insert the following template:

high\This is how TaskInjector works

when you see your Task, you’ll see a high priority Task called “This is how TaskInjector works”

so basically put the following in the body and you’ll see the result

low\ “your task goes here”

high\ “your task goes here”

or just simply type your task to make the priority normal, folks be careful its not a forwardslash, its a backslash \\\\\\\\\\\

What I like about this application is that the footprint on your blackberry is only 3k, yes I said it, only 3k, and it works like a charm plus at that price c’mon now folks, its a gift.

The Blackberry GTD power setup

December 14th, 2007 by Jorge Ledesma

Applications:

  1. Native Rim Calendar
  2. Jott with Google Link (http://jott.com/)
  3. Google Sync for Blackberry (http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/mobile/sync/)
  4. TodoMatrix from RexWireless (http://rexwireless.com/)

Well its finally here a calendar synchronization that works natively with the RIM calendar and Google Calendar, awesome, this dynamic duo provides a very tight integration, now add Jott with Google Link, and now you can make a phone call from your cell or anywhere, Jott will ask you, “Who do you want to Jott” and you say “Google Calendar” and speak your calendar event eg. Miami Heat on Saturday at 8pm and then check your google calendar in about 3 to 4 minutes and your event is there, it works flawlessly for all those time that you don’t want to write or you simply can’t for whatever reason. Now if Google would come up with a Task manager ala Google Calendar wow, its probably a matter of time before we such an application.

DoIt Pro, a clean and simple Task manager for the blackberry that feels a void.

December 6th, 2007 by Jorge Ledesma

I found this application here at http://conveniencesoftware.com/
and I could not be happier I purchased it instantly $7.99, I  mapped it to the left button of my 8800 and it works like a charm, its intuitive and fast. I spoke to the developer and some more options are coming soon, though no eta can be given at this time, this application has two icons - one for the actual application DoIt Pro and another icon that looks the same that is called “DoItEmailCatcher” and here are the instructions for it:

Using DoIt Pro

1.  Go to your Blackberry’s menu and you should see two icons with a blue check mark sign.  One of them says DoIt Pro when selected, and the other one says DoItEmailCatcher.  Open the one named DoIt Pro.
2.  To add a new task to your todo list, press the menu button and then click New.
3.  Type whatever the task is, and then click the menu button again and press Save.
4.  Your task is listed in the todo list.
5.  Once you have completed the task, highlight the checkbox and click it to mark it completed.

Using DoIt Pro in Conjunction with Email
1.  To have someone update your todo list by email, they must open up a new email to the email address linked to your Blackberry.
2.  In the subject line, they should type “newtasktodo” (without the quotes).
3.  In the body, they should type whatever the task is.
4.  Once your phone receives the email, the new task will be added to DoIt Pro.

Folks, follow that link and purchase this application as soon as possible you won’t be disappointed.  The new features coming will rock your boat, smooth as silk.

Happy Holidays
