JiveTalk, horrible customer service, check out the story . . .
October 9th, 2007 by Jorge Ledesma
I purchased JiveTalk for Blackberry and I can honestly say this company has the worst customer service ever, they get a negative 10 on a positive 10 scale. I just recently upgraded my blackberry to an 8800( I couldn’t be happier) and when I went to change my registration code, what a nightmare, first, I had purchased the $20 version, not realizing that with this version you can’t change your registration code(what a rip off), so I email them explaining to them to let me purchase the $30 version which lets you switch registration codes as you upgrade but there a problem, after 5-6 emails explaining the situation I have yet to receive an email, this is simply unacceptable, after researching www.pinstack.com and www.blackberryforums.com I found out that fellow berriers are having similar problems with this application, perhaps its time to jump ship to IM+ from shape services, which have great customer service. So be forewarned, this $20-$30 may cost you in the long run from a company that has NO customer service.

I love the app but don’t like the sound of what you just posted at all!
That is key to me keeping apps on my device, as I switch frequently from one to the other. IM+ is supposed to be just as good if not better, so that might be where I have to register my IM app from.
I know what you mean Gameboy213, same here, after 5-6 email they finally responded to me after I posted this on my blog, perhaps my 2000+ hits on my blog got their attention, but they fixed my problem but its uncomfortable to me that a company charges you more to be able to change your device registration code as you upgrade through different devices, lots of great companies charge once usually $20 and that’s all, application like TodoMatrix and IdeaMatrix $100 don’t have this problem either but you can’t even compare these two companies, RexWireless is known for going the extra mile with customers, so in the end perhaps IM+ might be a better choice, I own there VR+ and I can tell you they have great customer service and they are in Germany not San Francisco where I think Beejive is based out off.
I’ve had the same problem. The site advertises that version 1.0.2 supports MySpace Messenger - which it doesn’t. I’ve emailed support 10 times now and still haven’t received a response. Maybe it’s time to get the state Attorney General involved due to the false advertising and unwillingness to resolve customer complaints.
Yeah, I know what you mean, let’s face it the application is good, it looks great but their service is not all that hot, what are you gonna do.
